The award ceremony took place for the first time at the ICM on the exhibition grounds. The journalist and television presenter Ursula Heller guided the guests of honor, nominees, laudators and guests through the programme. The band Mojo Pin provided the musical accompaniment for the evening. Klara Geywitz, Federal Minister for Housing, Urban Development and Construction, and Hubert Aiwanger, Deputy Prime Minister of Bavaria and Minister for Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, presented the certificates and prizes to the delighted winners together with the speakers.
